I have just started the restoration blog!
The first theme is BMW R51/2.
It is one of the 5004 of total production volume produced in only 1950 to 1951.
The existing in Japan is said to be 3 to 4.
- BMW R51/2
- Engine type: Flat twin 4-stroke
- Displacement: 494cc
- Maximum power: 24PS @5800rpm
- Maximum speed: 84MPH (135km/h)
A gentleman came over to me! However, he was covered in dirt and rust...
Also, the size of the fender does not fit, has uncool muffler and American upright handlebars. It was the style totally different from my image.
I started restoration to return him to the original gentleman.
Thanks to “Yunyu-Ya BMer” (in Japanese), I used their parts for the restoration.
